Udio represents the latest generation of AI music creation tools, enabling users to easily generate high-quality songs complete with vocals and instrumentation. Developed by a team including former Google DeepMind researchers and launched into beta in April 2024, Udio quickly became a notable player in the AI music scene, often compared to Suno AI. The platform operates based on text prompts: the user describes the desired song, specifying genre (pop, rock, hip-hop, electronic, etc.), theme, mood, or even providing custom lyrics. Udio's AI then generates a finished music track, including a convincingly rendered vocal part. One of Udio's strengths is the quality and realism of the generated vocals. The platform also offers flexible tools for further working with the created tracks: users can "extend" generated segments, adding new parts (verses, choruses), or "remix" existing tracks, changing their style or arrangement. This allows for the creation of longer and more complex compositions. Udio is also developing a social aspect, allowing users to share their creations and discover music made by others.
