Toxic CAPEX: CoreWeave’s 15% Bond Yields Expose Pre-Default State of AI Infrastructure
The AI infrastructure credit bubble has begun to deflate under pressure from Wall Street. On October 24, 2026, CNBC and the WSJ documented growing panic: investors are dumping the debt of "neo-cloud" providers. The yield on debt securities of CoreWeave approached a junk-level 15%.

The sector is caught in a mathematical trap. NVIDIA is not only selling GPUs but also actively lending to and investing in these data centers, artificially propping up demand for its own chips. Institutional capital has recognized this circular scheme. A 15% super-yield on bonds is the risk premium for the likelihood that multi-billion dollar server clusters will never pay for themselves via rental income from AI startups. For macroeconomics, this is a signal of a harsh cooling: banks are shutting off the valve of affordable financing (CAPEX). If neo-clouds cannot refinance their debts, the market will be flooded with bankruptcies, which will ricochet and hit NVIDIA's own capitalization.
