Researchers from NYUs Stern School of Business, in collaboration with the GoodFin platform, announced the results of AI model testing on October 20, 2025. In the study, over 20 leading LLMs, including premium models, successfully passed an extended, dynamic version of the CFA Level III exam—one of the most difficult qualification tests for financial analysts. The studys authors note that while AI shows enormous potential as a tool for financial advice and analysis, it cannot yet replace human experience and empathy.
