The cost of NVIDIA server hardware and the risks associated with cooling systems have reached such unprecedented levels that insurance pools simply lack the liquidity to cover them. This is a fundamental macroeconomic shift. If hyperscalers (Meta, Google, Amazon) are unable to insure their new gigawatt AI factories, investments on Wall Street could come to a screeching halt due to unacceptable operational risks. The industry will have to invent new financial derivatives or attract government guarantees to continue the hardware race.
