Red Alert: Anthropic Urges Halt to AI Race Due to Militarization of Models
The artificial intelligence industry has hit the limit of its own safety. On September 12, 2026, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei published a memo, "We Must Pace the Frontier," urging global AI labs to strike a truce and radically slow the development of new models.

The reason for this panic was revealed synchronously: the lab published a threat-intelligence report detailing cases of military and criminal use of the Claude neural network. It turned out that the algorithm was used to create software controlling autonomous FPV drone swarms (with target selection and coordination), as well as for cyberattacks and surveillance automation. Alignment tools have failed. Big Tech has realized that the power of Agentic AI has turned into a weapon of mass destruction accessible to any criminal. The call for a slowdown is a desperate attempt by developers to implement new isolation architectures before governments simply pull the plug on data centers for national security reasons.
