Big Tech: Battle for European Startups

On February 12, 2026, OpenAI, Google, and Meta announced the launch of a joint accelerator for European startups. The goal is to find and scale promising AI projects in the EU.

This is a geopolitical move. Europe is known for strict regulation (AI Act), but also strong engineers. US giants want to integrate local talent into their ecosystems before they turn into competitors like Mistral AI.
