Boston Dynamics and DeepMind: Atlas Gets Gemini Brain

On January 25, 2026, Boston Dynamics and Google DeepMind announced a strategic partnership. Atlas humanoid robots will be equipped with the Gemini Robotics multimodal model. This collaboration combines the industry's best "body" with one of the most advanced "brains."

The integration will allow Atlas to not just execute pre-programmed movements, but to understand complex semantic commands ("find the part and bring it if it's not damaged").
