Carrefour: Smart Stores Take Over France
On February 18, 2026, Carrefour and VusionGroup announced a large-scale deployment of AI technologies in the French retail network. The "Carrefour 2030" plan is entering its active phase.

Stores are being equipped with computer vision cameras, "smart" shelves, and electronic price tags operating in a single ecosystem. AI now monitors stock levels in real-time, optimizes product placement, and changes prices. It is the end of the traditional merchandising era.
