Autonomous Breach: India Detects Crafty Falcon Cyberattack Campaign Driven by AI Agents
Automated cyberattacks have definitively become a reality for the global financial sector. On November 5, 2026, India’s national agency CERT-In (advisory CIAD-2026-0058), alongside Reuters, disclosed details of the large-scale Crafty Falcon campaign targeting banks, FinTech firms, and cryptocurrency exchanges.

Threat actors are leveraging a specialized stack of four AI tools (ARTEX, PentAGI, Cairn, and CyberStrikeAI). The system operates as an autonomous agentic network: scanning vulnerabilities, synthesizing attack vectors, and executing breaches without operator micromanagement. For the macroeconomics of B2B security, this marks a final transition into the era of "machine warfare." Enterprises will be forced to fully automate Security Operations Center (SOC) workflows, as human analysts are physically incapable of mitigating cascading attacks executing at processor speed.
