Following the publication of China's new five-year plan on March 6, 2026, analysts calculated that the term "artificial intelligence" appears in the document over 50 times. Beijing is not just declaring intentions; it is launching a specific "AI+ Action Plan."

The core of the initiative is forced integration. The government will heavily subsidize the implementation of AI into conservative sectors: traditional heavy industry, the agricultural complex, and basic medicine. A separate budget is allocated for the development of local computing capacity (in response to Nvidia's H200 embargo) and robotics. For the global market, this means China intends to offset its lag in generative LLMs by aggressively deploying applied machine learning in the real sector of the economy.
