Automation of Cyberterror: AI Hackers Massively Attack Siemens Industrial Systems
The pessimistic forecasts of cybersecurity experts have come true: generative networks have become the primary weapon of hackers. On August 19-20, 2026, US intelligence agencies (CISA and FBI) issued a joint emergency bulletin regarding an active cyber campaign in which attackers use autonomous AI tools to target vulnerabilities in Siemens S7 industrial controllers.

Critical infrastructure (OT—Operational Technology)—from power plants to water treatment facilities and factories—is under threat. The automation of attacks allows hacker syndicates to scale the search for zero-days and select attack vectors at an unprecedented machine speed. Human security operations centers (SOCs) physically cannot react fast enough to algorithmic attacks. For the B2B sector and states, this means an inevitable explosive growth in budgets for countermeasure systems: only a retaliatory defensive Agentic AI will be able to protect the corporate perimeter from malicious AI.
