[Update] Korean Edge: DEEPX and Hyundai Embed AI into Robots
Following yesterday's announcement of its IPO preparations, Korean startup DEEPX confirmed its market viability with a major contract. On April 15, 2026, the company announced an expanded partnership with Hyundai Motor Group.

The deal is aimed at integrating generative AI into robotics (Hyundai owns Boston Dynamics). This is a classic example of Embodied AI deployment. Robots require instantaneous reactions and local reasoning to navigate complex spaces—something a cloud API cannot provide due to latency. DEEPX chips will execute the inference of heavy neural networks directly "onboard" the robots. The partnership proves that Edge computing is becoming the foundation for the next generation of autonomous industrial and consumer machines.
