Exascale AI: Ericsson and Jülich Center Prepare 6G Architecture
The complexity of managing communication networks has exceeded the capabilities of classical algorithms. On March 25, 2026, Ericsson announced a partnership with the Jülich Research Centre (Forschungszentrum Jülich) to develop advanced AI models for the needs of 5G and the promising 6G standard.

The key asset in this deal is the JUPITER supercomputer, Europe's first exascale machine. Telecom networks of the future are turning into giant distributed sensors generating petabytes of telemetry. Training models capable of real-time load balancing and ensuring zero latency requires High-Performance Computing (HPC) power. This partnership illustrates the inevitable convergence of the telecommunications industry and high-performance computing.
