Law in Action: Strict EU AI Act Transparency Rules Come into Force
The era of unregulated neural networks in Europe has officially come to an end. On August 2, 2026, the European Commission activated enforcement mechanisms under the historic EU AI Act. Starting today, all companies operating in the EU market are obligated to adhere to strict transparency standards.

According to the new rules, any AI-generated content (including deepfakes, texts, and images) must carry explicit technical and visual watermarking. Interactive systems (chatbots) are required to warn users that they are communicating with a machine. For the B2B sector and hyperscalers, this means an urgent architectural overhaul: watermarking algorithms are becoming a mandatory layer during inference. Lack of compliance threatens corporations with blockades in the European market and fines running into billions of euros. Europe is the first in the world to legally divide the digital space into human and machine domains.
