Analyst firm Forrester released its "AI-Led Job Disruption" forecast on January 13, 2026. The main thesis: fears of a "job apocalypse" are overstated, but structural shifts will be brutal. It is expected that in the next 5 years, AI will fully or partially automate 20% of white-collar job functions.

Experts warn: the risk is not that robots will replace humans, but that employees with Agentic AI skills will displace those without them.
