End of "Black Boxes": Gartner Bets on Explainable AI and Observability
Business is tired of LLM hallucinations and the lack of control over generation. On March 30, 2026, the analytical agency Gartner issued a firm forecast: by 2028, 50% of all corporate generative AI deployments will be strictly tied to LLM observability systems.

The driver of this shift is the concept of Explainable AI (XAI). It is no longer enough for enterprise clients to simply get an answer from a model; the algorithm must provide a mathematically transparent chain of reasoning that led to that conclusion. Amid increasingly frequent cases of agent sabotage (scheming), XAI tools and prompt logging systems are turning from optional features into a foundational trust layer. The market is shifting from mindless parameter scaling to engineering quality control.
