Update: Google Officially Deploys Gemini 3.5 Flash and Omni for Developers
Update to Google I/O coverage. The final chord of Alphabet's main conference: on May 21, 2026, the corporation confirmed public access (rollout) to its newest models. Gemini 3.5 Flash has officially become the default algorithm for all company services, definitively shifting the focus from heavy models to speed and low latency.

Synchronously, access to the multimodal "combine" Gemini Omni was opened. The integration of these models into the updated AI Search was confirmed. This is a technical cementing of yesterday's announcements: Google is betting on agentic AI, where the algorithm is capable of "seeing" and "hearing" in real-time, executing tasks autonomously. Handing such powerful tools directly to developers via API means that in the coming months, we will see explosive growth in third-party B2B applications built on the ultra-fast Flash architecture, dealing a serious blow to OpenAI's market share.
