Japanese industrial corporation Hitachi announced the launch of the "Hitachi AI Factory" global initiative on September 26, 2025. As part of this, the company will create and supply comprehensive infrastructure solutions for "physical AI"—that is, for the application of artificial intelligence in real-world industrial processes. These solutions will be built on NVIDIAs AI Factory reference architecture, which includes advanced GPUs, networking equipment, and software. Hitachi, in turn, will integrate these computing capabilities with its deep expertise in operational technology (OT)—systems for managing manufacturing, energy, and transportation. The goal of the partnership is to offer industrial clients ready-made, optimized "turnkey" solutions to accelerate AI adoption, for instance, for predictive equipment maintenance or logistics optimization, lowering their entry barrier and technical risks.
