Huawei: AI-Native Networks and Autonomous Telecom
On March 1, 2026, at MWC, Huawei officially introduced the concept of AI-Native networks and a framework for intelligent operations and maintenance (O&M). This is a fundamental shift in telecom architecture.

Modern 5G networks generate such a volume of telemetry that classic scripts and NOC (Network Operations Center) engineers can no longer cope with load balancing. Huawei proposes shifting control to predictive AI agents. The framework can predict hardware failures before they occur, dynamically reallocate the radio frequency spectrum, and automatically patch vulnerabilities. In fact, this is Zero Touch operations, which will become a mandatory foundation for deploying future 6G networks.
