Indian Fortress: IBM and Yotta Launch Sovereign Agentic AI Platform

The concept of Sovereign AI is finding its practical application in major emerging markets. On May 7, 2026, IBM and Yotta Data Services announced the launch of a joint platform in India for deploying autonomous AI agents.

The solution is built on IBM watsonx Orchestrate and Sovereign Core technologies, introduced at the Think 2026 conference just two days ago. The key value for the Indian Enterprise sector is full compliance with data residency and local regulations. AI agents will be able to perform complex B2B tasks without transferring sensitive information outside national infrastructure. India, following the UK and Australia, is cementing its status as an independent digital cluster, where IBM’s global technologies are adapted for sovereign security needs.
