AI Commons Initiative: AI for All

On February 15, 2026, India launched the "AI Commons" initiative. The goal is to create a global pool of public data and models to break the monopoly of Western corporations.

New Delhi offers an alternative to the "Walled Gardens" of OpenAI and Google. This is an attempt to democratize technology, giving AI access to countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. India assumes the role of technological leader of the developing world.
