India: $200 Billion for AI Revolution

On February 15, 2026, ahead of the summit, India's IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced record investments. $90 billion is already pledged, with a total forecast of over $200 billion. The money will go to data centers, energy, and personnel training.

India is not just copying China or the US. The country is building infrastructure for the "Global South," offering cheap computing and open models. This is a bid for the status of the third superpower in the AI world.
