India: IndiaAI Mission 2.0 and $200B

On February 17, 2026, "IndiaAI Mission 2.0" was officially launched at the Delhi summit. The ambitious plan aims to attract $200 billion in investments for building data centers and sovereign AI infrastructure.

The government also presented the "AI Compendium" — a roadmap for AI adoption in the public sector. India is making it clear: it does not intend to be just a sales market for the US, but is building its own technological sovereignty, using its population scale as a growth driver.
