Physical AI Era: Japan’s Industrial Giants Integrate Neural Networks into Robotics
Artificial intelligence is leaving browsers and descending onto factory floors. In sync with the launch of the national AI infrastructure, on July 16, 2026, leaders in Japanese heavy industry and automation (Fujitsu, FANUC, and Kawasaki Heavy Industries) announced a strategic partnership for the mass deployment of Physical AI.

This is the most profitable revolution of the decade. While Western Big Tech is focused on generating text and images, Japan is leveraging its historical advantage in mechanical engineering. NVIDIA algorithms will directly control logistics manipulators, autonomous production lines, and medical robotic assistants (Kawasaki’s focus). LLMs are transferring cognitive control over physical objects. For macroeconomics, this means a sharp increase in "blue-collar" productivity and a solution to the demographic crisis in Asia through the total robotization of routine tasks.
