Kazakhstan to Integrate AI into the Legislative Process

The government of Kazakhstan announced a project on October 24, 2025, to integrate an artificial intelligence system into the legal regulatory process. According to Deputy Minister of Justice Bekbolat Moldabekov, a special AI assistant will be used to help draft regulatory acts. The system will analyze draft documents for compliance with the Constitution and higher laws, and will also help integrate best international practices and standards into national legislation. This move is aimed at improving the quality and consistency of legislation, as well as speeding up the rulemaking process. The initiative places Kazakhstan among the countries actively implementing AI (GovTech) to modernize public administration.
