Satya Nadella: "Without Mass Adoption, AI Boom Becomes a Bubble"

Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos on January 20, 2026, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella issued a stark warning to the industry. He stated that the current hype around artificial intelligence risks turning into a financial bubble if the benefits of the technology remain concentrated exclusively in the hands of tech giants and developed economies.

Nadella emphasized that for sustainable growth, AI must move beyond Silicon Valley and integrate into real sectors (agriculture, healthcare, manufacturing) worldwide. If the technology does not start generating real GDP soon, investors will become disillusioned, leading to a collapse in capital investment.
