Telecom Renaissance: Nokia Beats Forecasts Driven by Doubled AI Sales
Network infrastructure is becoming the primary beneficiary of mega data center expansions. On July 23, 2026, Finnish telecommunications giant Nokia published its Q2 report, beating analyst expectations due to a doubling of revenue in its AI & Cloud segment.

Ultra-powerful clusters (like Meta’s 5-gigawatt data centers) require a fundamental modernization of optical networks and routers to transmit terabyte datasets with minimal latency. Nokia is successfully capitalizing on this demand by supplying network equipment to hyperscalers. The growth of the Finnish vendor proves that the AI supercycle feeds not only "silicon" producers like TSMC, but also network backbone creators, without whom parallel computing in massive clusters becomes physically impossible.
