NVIDIA Releases New Open Models and Libraries for Robotics

NVIDIA introduced a whole new set of open models and libraries on September 29, 2025, designed to accelerate research and development in robotics. The key announcement was the release of the new open-source physics engine **Newton**, which allows for the creation of ultra-realistic simulations for training robots, especially humanoids. Also presented were new foundation models from the **Isaac** (GR00T N1.6) and **Cosmos** families, which help robots better understand and interpret their environment, as well as plan complex actions. By making these powerful tools openly available, NVIDIA aims to create a unified standard for the industry and enable thousands of researchers and startups worldwide to more quickly bring their robots from virtual simulations into the real world (the "Sim2Real" concept).
