OpenAI Launches ChatGPT Pulse for Proactive Briefings

OpenAI introduced a new feature, ChatGPT Pulse, on September 25, 2025, which changes the paradigm of interaction with the chatbot. Instead of waiting for a users query, Pulse works in the background, "thinking" about their interests. Once a day, the system analyzes chat history, the "Memory" feature, and, with user permission, data from connected applications (like Google Calendar and Gmail). Based on this analysis, Pulse proactively generates a personalized morning brief in the form of a set of cards: these can be meeting reminders, ideas for previously discussed projects, or a selection of news on topics of interest. According to Sam Altman, this feature is the first step in transforming ChatGPT from a reactive tool into a proactive personal assistant. For now, Pulse is available in preview mode only for ChatGPT Pro subscribers on mobile devices.
