Agents in the Core: Oracle Embeds Autonomous AI into Fusion and Databases
The shift from simple AI assistants to autonomous executors is becoming the industry standard. On March 24, 2026, Oracle Corporation announced the deep integration of agentic AI into its core products: the Fusion Applications ERP system and Oracle AI Database.

The new tools (AI Agent Studio) allow enterprises to create bots that do more than just generate text; they independently execute transactions, procurement, and financial operations. The database-level upgrade is particularly important: the introduction of vector capabilities allows agents to semantically search and combine data directly within SQL queries, bypassing intermediate logic layers. Oracle explicitly states: the era of co-pilots requiring constant human clicks is passing; the era of autonomous execution is arriving.
