Reliance: $110B for AI Monopoly

On February 19, 2026, Reliance Industries announced an unprecedented investment plan: $110 billion to build gigawatt-class data centers and edge compute infrastructure across India.

This is the largest private investment in the industry's history. Reliance is repeating its Jio playbook (when they crashed internet prices), but now in the AI compute market. The goal is to corner the country's entire compute stack, making India independent of AWS and Azure capacity.
