Indian conglomerate Reliance Industries and Meta Platforms announced the formation of a joint venture (JV) in India called "REIL" (Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Ltd) on October 25, 2025. According to Business Standard, the JV will focus on the development, marketing, and implementation of enterprise AI solutions for the Indian market. The total initial investment will be ₹855 crore (approximately $103 million). Reliance will hold a 70% stake, while Meta (through Facebook Overseas) will hold 30%. This alliance combines Reliances extensive market reach and infrastructure in India with Metas AI technological expertise, creating a powerful player aimed at the digital transformation of Indian businesses.
