Samsung released a major software update on October 27, 2025, for its Family Hub™ refrigerators, turning them into a central hub for the smart home ecosystem. The update includes the new One UI interface, unified with Samsung TVs and smartphones. A key improvement is the AI Vision Inside technology, which now recognizes 37 types of fresh produce (including kiwi and mango) and up to 50 packaged items, aiding in food tracking. Bixby Voice Identification has been introduced: the refrigerator recognizes the users voice, automatically switches profiles, and syncs settings. Additionally, the Knox Matrix security platform, based on a private blockchain, has been expanded to cover home appliances, allowing users to monitor the security status of all Samsung devices in the home.
