Samsung Galaxy S26: AI as the Base OS Layer

Samsung Galaxy S26: AI as the Base OS Layer
During the Unpacked event on February 25-26, 2026, Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy S26 lineup. The main message of the presentation: artificial intelligence has ceased to be a set of fun features and has evolved into an operating system.

Technical specifications took a back seat. The devices are equipped with powerful local NPUs (Neural Processing Units) that handle the lion's share of computations, saving battery life and reducing latency when accessing Google Gemini cloud agents. Samsung demonstrates deep system integration: the smartphone contextually understands when to launch a translator, when to use a text aggregator, and when to generate a response in a messenger. The concept of an "App" is gradually dying out, giving way to user "Intents," which are executed by a multi-agent network.
