Prompt Instead of a Broker: Scalable Capital Lets AI Agents Trade on the Exchange

Prompt Instead of a Broker: Scalable Capital Lets AI Agents Trade on the Exchange
Financial interfaces have definitively capitulated to natural language. On August 25, 2026, German broker Scalable Capital became the first in Europe to launch `Agentic Investing`—a direct integration of trading accounts with ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok models.

Users gained the ability to manage portfolios, set alerts, and initiate trades using plain text (final order execution requires manual approval). This maneuver destroys traditional UX in the banking sector. LLMs are ceasing to be mere advisors and are becoming a fully-fledged transactional layer. Integrating foundation model APIs into the core of brokerage platforms radically lowers the barrier to entry for retail investors, simultaneously generating a colossal volume of trading commissions. For the FinTech industry, this is a signal: whoever does not implement Agentic interfaces in the next year will lose the loyalty of clients accustomed to delegating routine tasks to algorithms.
