Industrial AI: Siemens Deepens Partnership with Alibaba Cloud in Beijing

Despite a complex macroeconomic backdrop and geopolitical tensions, large industrial businesses continue global integration. On March 23, 2026, at a summit in Beijing, Siemens announced a massive expansion of its technological partnership with Alibaba Cloud.

The companies presented 26 new joint technologies in the field of Industrial AI. A key step is the migration of heavy computing power for Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) into Alibaba's cloud infrastructure, augmented by neural networks. This allows factories to simulate physical processes in real time, predict equipment wear, and optimize digital twins of production lines. The deal proves that in the heavy industry segment, efficiency (speed and quality of cloud computing) currently outweighs political differences between the West and the East.
