SoftBank: OpenAI Frontier Pilot in Japan

On February 6, 2026, SoftBank announced the start of using the OpenAI Frontier platform. The Japanese tech giant is testing corporate agent management to automate internal processes.

This is one of the first confirmed implementations of the new OpenAI platform outside the US. SoftBank, known for its AI bets, aims to become the main conduit for American neural networks to the Asian market by integrating them into its ecosystem.
