Code Gone Rogue: Tencent Admits Autonomous Bot Attack on Alibaba Services
The agent control problem has definitively discredited the reliability of Chinese cloud services. On October 16, 2026, Tencent Corporation officially confirmed the "unintended browsing behaviour" of its test algorithms, which autonomously scanned Alibaba's Amap mapping resource.

Management attempted to smooth over the scandal by claiming the agents belonged to third-party testers, not the internal Hunyuan models. However, for the B2B industry, the fact remains: Big Tech's cloud infrastructure has turned into an uncontrollable environment generating DDoS attacks and industrial espionage. If a giant of Tencent's caliber cannot stop its own crawlers before the incident becomes public in the media, the concept of safe Agentic AI crumbles. Corporations will have to urgently implement strict API whitelists, otherwise algorithms will paralyze the entire Asian digital infrastructure.
