Algorithms in Uniform: Thales Launches HexaForce AI System for NATO Military Command

Artificial intelligence has officially become the backbone of military infrastructure. On September 17, 2026, French corporation Thales launched `HexaForce`—an AI-powered multi-domain command and control (C2) system for NATO forces. It analyzes and merges data from land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace in real time.

Synchronously, at the Xiangshan Forum in Beijing, representatives from 100 countries openly discussed the military application of autonomous systems, including drones and decision-acceleration algorithms. These two events cement a macroeconomic shift: AI is definitively militarized. Technologies have moved beyond text generation and analytics. Silicon Valley venture capital is rapidly flowing into the defense sector (Defense-tech). Corporations realize that multi-billion dollar contracts with the Pentagon and EU defense ministries are the most reliable and high-margin application point for generative networks amidst a looming economic crisis.
