Autonomy for Export: Uber and Autobrains Launch Robotaxi in Munich
Europe’s bureaucratic wall is beginning to yield to the pressure of algorithms. On June 1, 2026, Uber, in partnership with Autobrains, officially announced the launch of a robotaxi program on the streets of Munich. The project is built on the NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion autonomous driving hardware platform.

This launch is a critically important precedent for the macroeconomics of the transport segment (Agentic AI in logistics). The introduction of self-driving cars on German roads, known for their strict certification and compliance rules, proves that the technological safety barrier for AI drivers has been successfully crossed. The alliance of Uber, Autobrains, and NVIDIA is forming a powerful transport monopoly. While Tesla (amid recent issues with FSD in Europe) is trying to adapt its Vision system, this consortium offers a ready-made commercial solution that will radically change the economics of taxi fleets and logistics in the European Union.
