Safe Harbor: UK Woos Anthropic After Court Battle with Pentagon
Positioning oneself as an "ethical lab" brings real dividends. On April 5, 2026, it became known that the UK government is actively encouraging Anthropic to expand its presence on the islands. The company itself has already confirmed a multiple increase in its London team.

This geopolitical maneuver is a direct consequence of the startup's conflict with the US administration over its refusal to provide technology for mass surveillance.
