On November 15, 2025, the French newspaper Le Monde reported on the frontline use of the Ukrainian TFL-1 AI module for FPV drones. This terminal guidance system, developed by the company The Fourth Law, takes control during the last segment of the flight – roughly the final 400–500 meters to the target. Computer vision and neural-network algorithms allow the module to lock onto the silhouette of a vehicle and keep tracking it even in “radio shadow” zones or under intense electronic warfare, when the pilot loses the signal. According to Le Monde, TFL-1 has been certified by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, is already deployed in around twenty brigades and delivers a clear increase in successful strikes while remaining relatively affordable at about $50–$100 per unit. The article highlights TFL-1 as one of the first truly combat-proven examples of partially autonomous strike drones, illustrating how AI is rapidly being integrated into tactical weapons and reshaping the battlefield balance.
