AI by Subscription: Vodafone Launches Cyber Defense for Small Business

The democratization of Enterprise tools is in full swing. On April 22, 2026, Vodafone Business announced a partnership with Google Cloud to provide cybersecurity and AI solutions to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).

The service will be based on Google Security Operations and the Gemini language model, including the AI Concierge virtual assistant. If advanced AI threat analytics used to be the prerogative of large corporations, telecom operators are now packaging it into out-of-the-box SaaS solutions. Amid the growing complexity of cyberattacks (which can be generated by hostile neural networks), the SMB sector has become the most vulnerable. Integrating AI Security directly into the communications provider's infrastructure is an elegant move that increases the operator's ARPU and plugs critical gaps in small business protection.
