WEF 2026 Report: AI Fraud Overtakes Ransomware
On the eve of the Davos forum (January 13, 2026), the WEF Global Cybersecurity Outlook report was published. The document records a tectonic shift: for the first time, "AI-enabled fraud" is named a greater threat to business than ransomware attacks.

According to a survey of industry leaders, 94% of respondents believe AI will be the defining factor in cybersecurity over the next two years. The main problem is the "democratization of attacks": criminals use generative models to create perfect phishing emails and deepfakes that are indistinguishable from the original. The report calls for the creation of global "watermarking" standards for content to prevent chaos.
