On January 31, 2026, Wipro GE Healthcare unveiled the SIGNA™ Prime Elite system. This is an MRI scanner enhanced with AI algorithms (AIR Recon DL), manufactured in India. The technology significantly reduces scanning time and improves image clarity.

The innovation addresses the issue of clinic queues: faster scanning means more patients served. This is an example of applied AI in medicine, where algorithms do not replace doctors but make expensive equipment more efficient.
