IBM watsonx: Enterprise Agents Found Their Voice
On February 24, 2026, IBM announced a partnership with Deepgram. Advanced STT (Speech-to-Text) and TTS (Text-to-Speech) models for real-time operation have been integrated into the watsonx Orchestrate platform.

Contact center automation is reaching a new level. Robots no longer sound like a "metallic answering machine from the 2010s." IBM's voice AI agents are now capable of conducting a natural dialogue, reading intonations, and generating speech without delays. This is a direct blow to the outsourced call center market.
