Randstad: Gen Z Fears AI Displacement Most
The Randstad Workmonitor survey, published on January 20, 2026, revealed an unexpected trend in the labor market. Young employees (Gen Z), traditionally considered the most tech-savvy, experience the highest level of anxiety due to artificial intelligence. About 80% of respondents in this age group expect AI to fundamentally change or eliminate their current job duties.

Analysts attribute this to the fact that entry-level (junior) roles, typically held by young people, are most susceptible to automation. The report serves as a warning to employers: ignoring "tech anxiety" can lead to a motivation crisis and talent churn. Companies must invest in upskilling programs to show employees their place in the new AI economy.
